About 400 students from primary school “De Linde” in Pelt took part in the school's sponsor
run. With this run, they collected money to support several primary schools in Dolpo (Nepal),
a project of the association “Namaste Nepal” from Wijchmaal (Belgium). The sponsor run
was already planned for March, but was postponed due to bad weather.

Friday, April 28, 2023, the action also started drizzly and with the umbrella open, but that
did not bother the supporting parents and grandparents who showed up in large numbers.
Volunteers Guido, Stefan and Filip from the Namaste Nepal association previously came to
explain the project at school in an animated PowerPoint presentation. With their campaign,
the students want to raise money for the purchase of school and care material.

Thursday, May 11, 2023, the volunteers of “Namaste Nepal” came back to the school. The
schoolteam gathered everyone after playing time to hand over the check with the money
collected for aid projects in Nepal. The students have collected a nice amount of 7322.55
euros. This money will be used to support schools in Dolpo. Wonderful amount if you know
that an average weekly wage in Nepal is only a few euros.
