From 16 November 16 to December 6, 2023, Namaste Nepal Belgium has supported educational projects in the Dolpa region (NW Nepal) for the 5th time. The focus was mainly on educational projects in the remote rural Dolpa district.
Textbooks, sports materials and medical equipment were purchased for 10 primary schools in and around Juphal. Floor mats were also purchased and an “e-library” installed to improve the level of education in the Himalayan region.
We also ensured that local teachers can be trained in these teaching methods. Thanks to Aayush Dangi from Juphal who received the first lessons in Kathmandu, so that he can exploit the e-library in a modern way to the teachers of the local schools of Dolpa.
All materials arrived safely in Dolpa and the materials were handed over to the school management in a festive manner!
To make this bond of love successful, we would like to thank all Namaste Nepal Belgium
family, special regards to teachers of respective schools as they will be now commander in
charge to handle all these for the children. Also thanks to The Address Kathmandu Hotel
management for making spacious accommodation available to put together the packages,
Book shop, Pharmacy, Transport companies, and best friends Niraj Joshi(Kathmandu), Sudip Dhamala (USA), Bamshaj
Poudel (Australia) and Rojit Giri (Mustang) who were indirectly supporting this project with
whole heart.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the compassionate individuals and children of De Linde Primary School in Belgium whose active involvement and support played a pivotal role for this noble cause. Your empathy and enthusiasm have been instrumental in ensuring that the children in Dolpa receive vital educational resources, opening doors to a brighter future.
We also wish to express our immense gratitude to all those who actively participated in the spaghetti evening. Your enthusiastic support and contributions have been instrumental in steering this project in the right direction. Without your dedication and support, this initiative would not have found its successful path.
Your selfless contributions and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of these children have exemplified the true spirit of global unity and compassion. Your kindness has brought joy and hope to the children in Dolpa, paving the way for a brighter future through education.
This aid campaign “Dolpa 2023” ended festively with a solemn ceremony. Again special
thanks to Aayush Dangi for his efforts, to SuRaz Karki and Nikesh Bogati for the guidance on
site, to Niraj Joshi for his wonderful work in Kathmandu. He was a perfect team leader! And
of course thanks to the colleagues of Namaste Nepal-Belgium to Sudip Dhamala, Bamshaj
Poudel and Rojit Giri who have supported and controlled this beautiful project from remote.
I would like to confirm here that without the hard efforts of our Nepalese friends, an aid
operation like this would be impossible to realize. And all these efforts have led to wonderful
friendships and that is perhaps the most beautiful and grateful thing there is!
