Completion of Indigenous Learning Centre, Jimling

Finally, after a year of planning, here we present a beautiful INDIGENOUS KNOWLEDGECENTER at Jimling, Chitwan which was inaugurated on 30th june 2026. This center was built with the financial help of NAMASTE NEPAL –BELGIUM and will further be operated by Institute for Indigenous Affairs and Development (IIAD). This Indigenous Knowledge Center mainly will be a common place for educating the chepang children who can’t go to school and will be used to save chepang’s indigenous cultures and traditions.

We just planted a seed of hope for those innocent chepang children. Many things are to be still done for smooth running of this center. Namaste Nepal – Belgium is not capable to do everything as it’s just a voluntary friendship effort with its slogan “SMALL SCALE – EFFICIENT & BYHEART “, so let’s join hand in hand for this better cause.

Remembering with gratitude, this center is built with the great efforts of Namaste NEPAL team, BiswashChepang ( Indigenous advocator), Aakash Chepang (site operator), Manish Praja (first chepang Engineer) and the harworkingchepang community of Jimling. Special regards to our Nepalese – Belgian members, the Mayor of Peer – Steven Matheï sir and rest of the wellwishers who contributed to make this first step successful. We also want to thank Shamans who prayed for the success of this center and also many thanks to the Journalists like Tulman Gurung , KP Kiran Sharma sir for helping to promote our effort.

“Living only for making self-happy is basic goal but Living for making others happy is a privilege.”
